The Project

No child should be deprived of the right to education!
Project iBelieve was created with the main objective of helping Nepali Children with their education.Through support from people like you, Project iBelieve provides financial assistance to children whose families cannot afford to send them to school.

How is Project iBelieve Different from Other Charitable Projects

Establishs One-to-One Sponsorships
One of the main objectives of Project iBelieve is to establish one-to-one sponsorship relationships between sp
onsors and Nepali Children who need financial support on education.  In a one-to-one sponsorship:
– Sponsors choose children to support, and can terminate the commitment at anytime
– 100% of the financial support from sponsors goes to the paired kids
– Sponsors maintain their desired levels of communication with the kids
– Sponsors receive regular updates from schools and kids
– Sponsors watch their supported kids learn and grow
– Sponsors establish role models for their own children (if any), or even better, involve them in the process and let them be proud sponsors  – What a great accomplishment!

Provides School Supplies and Heathy Lunch
Project iBelieve also works with elementary schools in remote areas to provide students (from kindergarten to Grade 8) wi
th learning supplies, student uniforms, healthy snacks, sports equipment, etc.
There is no tuition or textbook fee for students in elementary schools. However, these students have to buy stationery, school bags, and other school related supplies. For parents who are struggling with getting enough food for their families, school supplies are not on their shopping lists. Some children have to drop out of school for this reason or because their parents need them to work to support the families. Project iBelieve helps keep these children in school by providing them with school supplies.
Additionally, Project iBelieve provides heathy snacks to students in the supported schools. On a typical school day in the remote areas, children go to school at 10:00am in the morning, and come back home around 4:00pm. No food or snack is provided throughout the day to nourish their growing bodies and minds. Healthy snacks helps children focus on learning and playing in school.

Helps Schools Improve English Teaching
Project iBelieve helps schools in remote areas improve the quality of English teaching. As tourism is the largest industry (after agriculture) in Nepal, English is an important subject that improves students’ employability. Due to lack of government funding and the geographical disadvantage, however, schools in remote areas are rarely supplied with enough and (or) qualified English teachers. Project iBelieve raises fund for schools to hire qualified English teachers, and works with English teachers in developing interactive teaching methods.
Project iBelieve also recruits volunteers from English speaking countries. These volunteers spend weeks or months in supported schools and work with the English teachers to improve students’ conversational and written English skills.

Facilitates Sports and Extra-curricular Programs
Children in remote areas of Nepal do not have the opportunity to play sports as schools rarely have money to purchase sports equipment. However, playing sports is a great way to help students improve physical fitness, develop motor skills and foster team spirit. Project iBelieve purchases sports equipment for supported schools and facilitates the schools to run physical education.
The project also helps schools in remote areas running other extra-curricular activities and projects, for example, crafting, science projects, etc. These extra-curricular programs not only add fun for students, but also help them learn practical knowledge and skills that will be useful in making a living.

Maintains Low Administration Costs
Project iBelieve is managed and administrated by volunteers. No salaries or allowances are paid to the volunteers. Programs and activities are managed in a way to keep costs as low as possible.
All expenses incurred in project administration are covered by the Administration Fund that is raised solely for this purpose. All donations received in one-to-one sponsorships are used exclusively on the paired students. 100% of the funds raised in the General Fund are used exclusively on Nepali children based on needs.
